The transcription of Edgar Winter tenor saxophone solo on Tina Turner’s (Simply) The Best from Foreign Affair album (Capitol Records 1989).
In 1989, Tina Turner released a cover version of The Best for her seventh studio album, Foreign Affair. It became an international chart hit, reaching platinum certification in the UK. In 1992, Tina Turner re-recorded the track as a duet with Australian singer Jimmy Barnes. This Edgar Winter tenor saxophone solo is from the first version (1989), the version from 1992 with Jimmy Barnes has a guitar solo instead of tenor saxophone.
The song was originally recorded by Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler on her seventh studio album, Hide Your Heart (1988). It was written by Holly Knight and Mike Chapman.
The bflat and eflat versions of the transcription are available at transcriptions page.
